Edited 5 years agoThis is not hard rock in the "metal" meaning. This is a very interesting record talking about its style. Absolutely pre-punk with a touch of what 'll become stoner rock in the Deviants way.
In the first half of the '70s skinhead scene went in the glam (!) direction but at the meantime a rawer kind, typically based on live show, emerged and it was called Pub rock. After 1977 all of these went on to give new blood with the Oi movement. Look at the herberts on photoes: they got the same hairdresses and cloaths you can see in Cock Sparrer first shots.
Noticeable it's the guys were not from England but from Australia. At the same time the Saints were playing punk rock years before the Pistols, C.B. were five years ahead of their time but on "the wrong" side of the planet.
Also this explains Radio Birdman and all the other '80s music miracles unhopely coming from the last continent..
