I was hoping for a fresh take on the classic Front 242 track but I didn't hear anything of interest here.

Despite what many 242 fans say, this is an excellent release which features some of the best electronic (not just EBM) acts. Each track reflects the original style and sound of the artist who remixed it: remixes by APB, FLA, Funker Vogt, and Leæther Strip are powerful examples of classic EBM; Talla 2XLC, Doug Laurent, Suspicious, and Space Frog deliver fast and furious beats of trance and progressive house; along with Beefcake's brilliant work, artists like Haujobb, Xingu Hill, Noisex, and Aqualite experimented with IDM, Breakbeat, and Power Noise. Overall, this is a very good remix collection, which covers a vast variety of electronic genres.

This is a great tribute to a great track. The majority of these remixes are good.. and most of them aren't in the same style as the original which shows how far Front 242's influence reached. Owning the vinyl versions would be a good idea too because those are the most dance friendly mixes.
