Edited 3 years agoThis pressing is definitely riddled with surface noise compared to the other albums. It's not horrible but certainly could be better.

Edited 4 years agoBack to their best with this Album from Enigma after what I can only personally describe as a number of poor lack lustred albums over the last decade and a half.
The "Vinyl, LP, Album, Limited Edition, Remastered, Violet Translucent, 180Gr - The Fall of A Rebel Angel" sounds outstanding, full of warmth played through an analogue Xone 96. This along with "MCMXC A.D." and "The Cross of Changes" are the best 3 albums. -
Yeah, I'm a little "late arriving at the party" here but I finally got around to purchasing this and I am glad that I did. The "Colours of Enigma " releases have all been very good audio quality and this one is no exception! I was hesitant to buy this as so much time has ed since the last release and I feared a blatant cash grab, type album.... it proved to be, so not the case! Highly Recommended.

A small warp in my copy but didn't seem to affect playback. Nice and crisp and a decent inherent volume.

Edited 4 years agoI received this, and sent it back for a replacement FOUR times. Every time, this release was riddled with surface noise. Pops, crackles, etc. While I love this Enigma set, I'm super disappointed with the quality control. It's been a recurring problem with this entire set, actually. Only MCMXC a.D., Le Roi Est Mort, and Voyageur turned out perfect. However, I will add this: I own the original vinyl pressing of this album, and as far as mastering and sound quality goes (outside of surface noise), this reissue sounds so much better!

Does anyone now own both vinyl releases of this album? I am curious how they compare in sound quality.
