Fantastic 2 CD release of Level 42's first two albums. My only gripe is 'Level 42' contains the shorter versions of some of the tracks but I suppose thats the payback for the extra tracks (although personally I'd of left off 'Dune Tune (Live) and 'Goodbye Ray Schmidt-Volk' and included the longer versions of the other tracks). The tracks on 'The Early Tapes' were recorded a year or so before 'Level 42' but they all play like one CD. Top class production and musicianship all the way through and some fantastic songs.
