I feel like this album was somewhat of a hint to how Chester was feeling. I wonder did anyone take the time to listen?

I love this album. A great mix of Guitars, electronic sounds, and deep lyrics while still staying uplifting.

One More Light is honestly a major disappointment, but I guess that's par for the course with Linkin Park albums. I'm head-over-heels for their older music, but I've noticed a gradual decline in my enjoyment of their music since Minutes to Midnight. I understand that bands change, but how does such a talented band with an amazing style turn to cookie-cutter, textbook definition pop? I see people using the lyrics to justify the style, but a) deep lyrics don't equal quality and b) lyrics aren't the only aspect of a song. Anyway, that's just my opinion. You're free to enjoy the album if you can; I won't try to take that away from anyone.

Great album, DIdn't like it at first, but by the time of Chester's unfortunate ing it had really grown on me, and I HATE pop music. So that's saying something, that I actually enjoyed my favorite band "going pop" anyway, I can't listen to the album (or watch YouTube videos of their shows from this year) the same way again...

Probably my favourite Linkin Park album. Very hard-hitting lyrics, strong melodies and tight production. Definitely not the LP we , but all bands go through changes, especially one with so many influences.
This definitely leaves the rock behind, but that's not to say it's a bad album. I definitely welcome a more electronic sound after they turned into an alternative rock band.

This album is great despite what the haters say. People grow up, bands change; you can't expect them to make meteora over and over again. Appreciate things for what they are, not what they aren't.

to be honest i wouldn't (& didn't) buy this album prior to chester's death, however, the lyrics & sound makes much more sense now & i actually like this album. R.I.P. Chester Bennington

Horrible, ... How Linkin Park, a very good group has became .. shi* ? This album is very bad and i don't recommend it at all !!! Lyrics sh*t, music sh*t, WHERE'S Rob Bourdon ? (he's sleeping..) It's commercial NOT (the real band) Linkin Park. When i think to all this bands like Opeth who work hard for their albums.. Linkin Park has disgusting me for my whole life.

Linkin Park never fascinated me too much. While I never thought they were among the worst of the nu metal scene, I never bought on to their popularity after they moved on. I only listened to this to see what the massive fuss was about. Honestly, this makes me feel bad for the fans that expected the more rock-oriented sound that the band was mainly known for. This new sound direction relies on drum machines, out of place electronica beats that don't fit the band's overall sound, way too much sampling, and a complete disregard for the fans that got them this far and kept them relevant when the nu metal craze originally ended. Aside from Chester Bennington's borderline childish complaints towards the fans' preference to their more rock-oriented style, the lyrics to "Good Goodbye" in particular are like a middle finger to those oldschool fans ("I've been here killing it longer than you've been alive, you idiot. And it makes you so mad."). If you can make me have such feelings for a band I previously never cared for, you're doing something exceptionally wrong. One More Light has absolutely no light to it.
