I co-sign that this is actually a great repress, albeit I too had to turn it up a schoch! Barring that it's detailed, with great separation of instruments, and has a nice bass bump to it. I didn't get muddy at all, just the opposite. I really appreciate how the captured Idris' drumming. Overall musically there's soo many good things going on.

Got my copy of this in the mail today and I have to say I was pretty disappointed. The sound is kinda muddy. Compared to my music on vinyl pressing of Power of Soul (which is really nice) it’s night and day. I could live with that because it wasn’t That bad and totally doable at the price point but my version came outta the box with a bunch of scuff marks on side B that I could clearly hear through a few different songs. Also a bit of surface noise. As far as the mastering, sounds a lot like whatever version is on Apple Music with not much difference. I was hoping for a bit better. Returning this and hoping to get a clean copy as a replacement because I’d still like to own this album but first try just wasn’t it.

Sounds very good for sure, but i have to put the volume higher on this one. At least i can't hear any noise, pops or clicks. It's a very good pressing.

I emailed the label (Soul Brother) and they said, somewhat cryptically:
"The Idris audio source is a high res master from sony music, it sounds really good."
Bit muddy to my ears -- but cheaper than an OG by miles..... -
