Very great ZF work, one of their best for sure ! together with What is not true, these are my 2 favorites ZF album. Flock of rotations, Just an illusion and Shadow thief of the sun are also highly recommended.

Not one of the more interesting efforts. Actually it's a bit annoying to hear and has none of the qualities of lesser NWW moments and does not evoke any primal or pre-technology aspects of rhythm or texture or context. Mainly this sounds like inconsequential doodles with less form than ‘Popular Soviet Songs & Youth Music’.

Edited 6 years agoOne of, if not the best industrial album's of the 80's and an album that transcends its own genre. A definitive piece of sound art.

Shouting at the Ground is the only ZF release I ever owned. Based on this one record, ZF is my all time favorite experimental artist. Will someone please recommend to me which other "cds" to obtain that I may enjoy as much as this one.
I saw them play live in Los Angeles at Al's Bar in the early 90s. Shear Brilliance.
