No Doubt – Return Of Saturn

So this is the reissue that doesn’t include Too Late instrumental. I hoped for a copy including it but didn’t, honestly it doesn’t really matter as I’m just really happy to finally complete my No Doubt collection with this wonderful albums. The sound is okay, it’s not outstanding but of course we’ll never get a perfectly mastered version of this album due to the loss of the original masters during the 2008 fire. Overall it’s not bad per say It’s still worth owning and it’s still better than Tragic Kingdom at least…

Does anyone have the OG to compare to this repress ? I don’t know if the OG pressing of this and Rock Steady are better than the reissues and I would love to upgrade if possible.

I have a legit OG copy listed and these new s are really gumming up the works selling reissues on this page.

My copy does not have the hidden track, which is kinda sad because it's one of my favorite parts of the album. It sounds really good though!

My matrix runouts match with the above but also I have no hidden track. There must be another reissue copy then. Sound wise this reissue is incredible. So crisp, full and dynamic sounding. There is no surface noise at all, a very clean pressing. So happy to finally have my absolute favorite No Doubt album on vinyl.

I'm a little confused because I'm pretty sure I have this reissue, definitely not an OG pressing, but the hidden track on Side D is nowhere to be found. Are there actually copies of this album with the hidden track? And which version do I have then?

as i understand that the original came with a pink sticker on the shrink and has the copyright text with 5 lines on the center label instead of 3 like the reissues

Yet another example of reissues getting lumped into the first pressing listing. Check ‘yer runouts folks! It devalues the original pressing which was quite a bit rarer than the reissue. I don’t care all that much in this case, but it’s a thing. If it’s sealed, it’s probably a reissue. My OG is in shrink and does have a pink hype sticker FWIW. Idk about the reissues.

Happy to have this on vinyl! Spindle very tight on first record; used a box cutter and now it fits perfectly. Just be careful. Don’t take too much off.

Slight surface noise in between tracks and the first record is not flat. Haven’t played the second record yet.

It sounds great to me bare bones packaging notwithstanding.
