referencing Polaris (LP, Album, Reissue) KSCOPE1151
This is a bare bones package. No lyrics or anything. No insert. Just a generic cheap inner sleeve and the cardboard outer sleeve. -
The surface noise is horrible, especially on the inside of the LP due to more "picture" I assume. There is a reason the price tag is so low (as of review)
-
Really bad pressing. Tons of surface noise. The mix also sounded terrible on my hifi system. The vocals were too low, the bass guitar was really overpowering, the overall midrange was really muddled. I thought something had gone wrong with my system but playing the album from a digital source confirmed it was definitely the record.

Impressively clean sound on a picture disc, looks gorgeous and obviously an incredible album, well worth picking up 👍🏻
-
This is probably the best sounding record in my collection. The balance is simply stellar and very quiet. The bass on this record is appropriately intense. 2 big thumbs up!!

The packaging starts out looking great.
Then from there it just gets more disappointing. Cheap paper inner sleeves will not be kind to the vinyl. Only 3 sides are etched - seriously poor form not to spread the music out!
When it starts I thought all could be forgiven with the amazing sound but not to be. For most of the songs, the drums sound too far away - there is no power to them, and the cymbals just sound so tiny. Random pops and clicks throughout each track are annoying.
The last three songs have a weird balance thing going on where the right speaker seems to partly fade in and out. The trebles seem to vanish, then come back a few seconds later.
Kscope need to understand that the fan bases of the artists they represent are a ionate bunch of people who invest a lot of time and money into their product. I am constantly disappointed with the vinyl they are putting out lately. -
Let’s start with the good: the record is quiet and the artwork is nice. Done
The bad: I know this is neither here nor there but the “etching” is just LOL. It’s... just not that great. Could have used that space to turn the volume up on this release. The record itself is quiet but the recording is as well.. easily could have used that etching space for the music. Anyway... the worst thing about this release is that it sounds like absolute and utter garbage. It’s just mids boosted to the moon, nothing else. It sounds absolutely lifeless and dull. It’s awful. -
Hi. This 2019 re-issue does not include the D-side etching that was on the original pressing. Kind regards, Kscope.
