One of. the best drop downs in House history - Josh created a masterpiece here.
The formula in keeping up the tension was and is still quite remarkable here.
The main groove often reminded me a bit of "French Kiss" ... Then the filter opening up the sample and the refreshing strings in the background.
I however get the impression there was still some heavy influence from a track that got released 1 year prior to this called "Get Your Thing Together " From the New Yorker Caputo / Brutal Bill colab Direction - https://www.discogs.sitioby.com/de/Direction-Get-Your-Thing-Together-Feel-It/master/256491
The breakbeat and the strings are quite similar! ;)

Great tune played heavily back when it was released.
Track builds builds slowly, starting with its simple melodic riff and beats, slowly building, then dropping down to the slowed down breakbeats with the "I am Ready" vocal and soaring strings helping to build the tension as the beats drop out and start to build back in lifting the track to a higher & higher level as the drum roll kicks in and builds and builds and builds to a crescendo ! And the track drops if full-on absolutely awesome and long too, but all the elements and the way it transforms keep you interested all the way through. .

Für mich einer der besten House-Produktionen - bis heute. Beide Versionen beginnen eher ruhig und lullen den Hörer geradezu ein und wer das Stück zum ersten Mal hört, ahnt nicht wohin es sich entwickelt. Nach und nach gesellen sich nämlich psychedelische Elemente hinzu - das aber wohldosiert und fast unmerklich. Die Original-Version mündet nach der Eröffnung in ein Break, das fast 5 (!) Minuten dauert. Nachdem genauso behutsam wieder alle Spuren runtergerfahren wurden, hört man nur noch einen Synth-Ton zusammen mit dem psychodelischem Element, dass bis zum Schluss zu hören ist. Und nun wird das Break zum Höhepunkt gebracht, indem nach und nach alle Spuren wieder hochgefahren werden. Dies aber nun wesentlich schneller und unruhiger. Auf der Tanzfläche sind die Leute seinerzeit vor Freude durchgedreht, wenn der Höhepunkt erreicht wurde. Das galt vor allem für die Remix-Version, denn in dieser wechselt das Tempo 2 Mal: Sie beginnt mit 126 BPM, im Break verlangsamt sich das Tempo auf 100 BPM (hier bedient sich Josh Wink eines HipHop-Beats , ein genialer Kniff) und schließlich wird der Höhepunkt des Breaks bei 132 BPM erreicht.Er verlangsamt also das Tempo, um danach schneller als zu Anfang zu sein. Diese Scheibe hat viele Monate auf der Tanzfläche funktioniert und bedeutete oft den Höhepunkt des Abends.Viele Scheiben aus der Zeit "1995" klingen heute etwas angestaubt - das gilt nicht für I'm Ready - ein Klassiker dieses Genres,
