My favorite album of all time. It captures a feeling of irreverence and simultaneous bounciness like nothing else I've ever heard. It tells a story of deception and misdirection, and remains a testament to the art form of listening to albums from beginning to end, not as individual one-off songs. Dying With my Boots On is the invitation, Instead I Became Anenome is the finale. I would rate it a 5/5 stars if not for the remaster having strange smudges on the vinyl, which is tarnishing. Be aware of such if you plan to buy the 2022 remaster. -
My copy has black stains on both sides, looks really shite. Why go to the bother of re-releasing it on 180 g wax, when deaf was standard vinyl. Really vexed as waited for it with such high hopes.
