The Psycho Radio remix is the one. Was never sure if the original of this was a bit too cheesy but this mix really worked in my sets at the time, much more electro / techno and quite deep too.

I still am impressed with the drop at the begining it used to get me bouncing around the dancefloor. I first listening to it being played in the Ibiza and making it my mission to purchase a copy then it went so went commercial and it was being played in the local Ritz night clubs. -

What a tune from the moment the intro comes in you know its time to get ya dancing shoes on.
The track just builds perfectly, with its haunting synth intro, then dropping into a stronger sound leading into the drop with the high pitched strings, which builds up in the breakdown with the tougher orchestral string stabs that everyone relates to this track.
Huge tune & still sounds great today. -
Edited 8 years agoI'm pretty positive that the "UK Remixes" tag was an error. There are no mixes made by UK producers in this release (Or ZYX reprints.) All you have here are a set of the original mixes by Italian producers.

Edited 10 years agoI have a lot of memories with this tune, one of the greatest trance anthems of all times!!!! maybe the biggest memory was listen this beauty at the Sensation megamix of 2002!

The project Brainbug was created by the produced Alberto Bertapelle in Venice (near my hometown). The track Nightmare was soon remixed by Bertapelle and the venetian dj Mistericky who first played it in local clubs. "Mistericky Version" was the most popular version in italy because it reflected the trend of the moment (1996) oriented to dream - mediterranean progressive created by italian producers like Gigi D'agostino, Robert Miles, DJ Dado, Mauro Picotto..
