Solid 1992 Garage House. Only two mixes imo are interesting: Momo Club Mix (David Morales) and Kaoz Dub It To You Mix (Kerri Chandler). Kerri almost turns it into Deep House. Stick to the Dub with him. And versus so many Garage House tracks this lady actually can sing. -
After digging through my collection looking for something to play I came across this little gem. Having not heard this track in years I pull it out to listen to. Well it's taken me right back to when I was in my early twenties. Momo's club / dub mixes still sound absolutely great. Martha's awesome and very distinctive vocals stand the test of time. If you've not got this in your collection grab yourself a copy.

The Dead Zone Mix (121 BPM) is early David "momo" Morales at his finest. The Martha Wash vocal is looped and sampled only for a few seconds at a start, to introduce the programming over a kick drum. There's filtered tease guitar and various bleeps and blorps give a future feel, even though it's 23 years old. There's some drama synths and phrasing buildup. The creative genius of this mix is evident by the bass line, which doesn't even show up until the 3 minute plus mark... and when it does, my friends, it's ridiculous. The other garagey mixes didn't really age well but the dubs are solid as hell.
