The dymanics on this release are crushed due to putting too much on both sides of this LP. It really needed 3 sides but they crammed it all onto 2. As a result, next to no dynamic range, much reduced bass and poor channel separation. This is one of the rare instances where the digital streaming version is far superior from a mastering perspective.

Sound quality if far better than that horrendous picture disc, but still not the best. They should’ve made it a double album.

Solid pressing. Sounds really good. Great gift to the spouse if they hate on you for buying to many records.

Better than the picture disc pressing but nowhere near a good sounding record. Low volume and bass, pitch problem because they crammed so many songs into a single record.

Pretty solid pressing with surprisingly good sound quality. I was not expecting much after reading the comments on this one, so the bar was low, but I ended up being prettyr impressed and happy with this one. The volume is definitely low, assumed to be a side effect of so many tracks being jammed on to each side. But, after wet cleaning the LP to get all of the embedded paper bits out of the grooves, I didn’t experience a whole lot of surface noise. Just a little background rumble and some light clicks on side 2. The sound quality was actually pretty good and consistent the entire was through. Amazingly, there was no IGD and, even though the mastering needed a thorough 4KHz de-essing, the VERY pronounced S sounds on both sides did not break into sibilance. The LP was cleanly pressed on heavyweight vinyl and the jacket/printed inner sleeve are standard quality with sharp artwork. All in all, I am happy with this pressing and enjoyed listening to it.
