LC0316 on cover is present on this version, too. Can you please add it? -
Hmmm, not sure why this 90s album contains the style of 'Prog Rock' while earlier DP albums do not.
As far as I am concerned earlier DP albums were much more progressive. -
Deep Rainbow........ woe is me. Exit Gillan, enter Jolene (sic) Turner. Purple go AOR....... really not very good at all.

Edited 7 months agoBeautifully pressed and mastered. Surprising given the lack of love for vinyl in the early 90’s. Not sure about the transparent black vinyl? Abit weird as a selling point and unless ur holding a powerful flashlight up close it just looks like ir bogg standard black disc. Someone somewhere compared this album to a poor man’s Foreigner! Not sure that was a fair comparison but shows Deep Purple trying to keep with the glam metal trend perhaps. Either way it’s a decent listen and welcome addition to the collection.

Slaves and Masters only has one good song, “Fire In The Basement”. The song is fast , and Blackmore’s guitar playing is full on shred!! Joe Lynn Turners vocals are superlative as well!! This song is so GREAT, that it alone, is better than all the Deep Purple songs that had Steve Morse on guitar on them! -
A VERY cool and underrated DP album.
The release of HNECD021 is much better in of graphics, sound and dynamic range than the 2012 CD - BMG 74321 18719 2. Good Mastering. Bravo for Hear No Evil Recordings. -
I got used to a LP order of tracks and can't accept the CD's one! The great LP, one of my favourites in vinyl times but I can't listen to it from CD because of different order of tracks that ruines otherwise magnificent album! Hoped that a remaster will have the RIGHT order but in vain. Running Wild's Under Jolly Roger CD was hated by group's fans because of the same reasons untill it was rereleased with the LP order of tracks. Why has no-one rereleased this album the same way? It was an atraction of the first CD years to issue albums on CD different to LP: different order of tracks, longer versions, bonus tracks, etc. Though it's not difficult to programm the playing order but still it's irritating thing to do.And why another 1990 non-album track "Fire, Ice & Dynamite" was left overboard?

Also a pity that the next JLT-Purple album was erased, Ritchie Blackmore stated that it was a great one and I believe him! -
