Mastodon – Once More 'Round The Sun

Mines not warped, but i feel like it sounds brick walled.

Just picked one of these up. Vinyl sounds excellent!!! Artwork... wow!

The first disc of my copy is a little more wavy than I would like, but plays fine. The vinyl is a more enjoyable listen than the CD. More high frequency extension most noticeable in the cymbals. Perhaps slightly more bass extension as well.

Just my luck. I got a mint copy but it's missing the second LP.

TL;DR: this picture disc has high noise floor and I still love the album. Buy this as a fan, not an audiophile.

Mastodon is one of my all-time favorite artists. As a fan this picture disc is a phenomenal piece of art, and the music on this release is amazing. It will (I hope) never leave my collection, and yet I'm going to find a way to display it because I don't think I'll ever listen to this specific set of records again. I'll listen to the music over and over, be assured! But it won't be from these grooves as they fail to match the quality of the artistry.

Super awesome pressing! I had the CD version of OMRTS, and I wished this version came with the Patch that the CD came with. Overall, no warping, plays just fine!

Really clean sounding pressing with a really nice touch of bass. No complaints here.

No warping here. Sounds truly outstanding. The drums punch hard and vocals are perfectly clear even when the whole band is going full blast. The headphones I am using space out the sounds so I can focus on the vocals practically in isolation if I want to and they are flawless.

for a picture disc, this sounds pretty damn good. it's quieter and features fewer pops than some black pressings i own, plus this album's artwork is good enough to warrant a picture disc regardless.

other pressings will still be better for a raw sound experience on high end equipment, but for a more casual experience/fan of this album, this is a perfect buy.
