was anyone else's printed on a sort of cardboard-brown sleeve? the images look much lighter than my copy. i like it though, it adds to the aesthetic.

I don't have the equipment to give this a wet clean at the moment but it is noticeably pretty noisy in a lot of places. I didn't get any outright skips luckily but it's full of pops and clicks that cleaning with a brush didn't seem to fix. The sound quality of the record is actually pretty nice but the surface noise does take away from it a bit. One of my favourite albums so don't regret buying it but could do with a repress.

This is actually a pretty good pressing, the base and lower end detail really shine. Quite quiet after a wash through the spin clean. No regrets on this purchase and definitely advise buying if you love the album. You need to clean it though and probably have a decent needle.

The copy I got from a concert I went to, it sounds fantastic, it’s quiet and has no surface noise or popping. Great album, wish he’d release a coloured variant some time.

My copy from Amazon just arrived - not the single best pressing I own by any stretch, but after a wet clean, my copy is definitely above average (perhaps significantly so) from most of my recent pressings - especially of quieter albums like this. If you like the album, I certainly wouldn't hesitate to give it a shot. I hear a few pops on side B, but very very little surface noise, and the few pops don't detract from the listening experience (and I'm pretty picky).

Side A does not have much surface noise, Side B does. I do throw most of my new vinyl through a cleaner. Compared to his other pressings this is probably my least favorite as far as sound quality. Also, I dont think that Rainbo Records is the correct pressing plant since mine had a 'made in Canada' sticker on it. That is, unless there is a reissue that isnt on discogs yet. Thirdly (sigh), mine had the 180g sticker on it, but weighs in at 165 (I noticed the lightness and weighed it). That is a big variance compared to most 180g records. Sounds like a lot of quality control issues on this one.

I won't update this review until I've had a chance to run this record through an ultrasonic cleaner. If that doesn't fix the pops and clicks, I'll concede to ing the chorus of "this pressing sucks!"

Like others, it's a bit noisy...particularly on side b. Gave it a good brush before playing but will update if it gets better after a wet cleaning. Still a great album - no regrets.

Mine came from Amazon UK, and it was absolutely fine. Yes, it's in a plain white paper sleeve which might cause issues for some after a long transport.
But plays without issue on my copy - clean, flat and quiet.
Rainbo is a crap shoot sometimes, but I seemed to do OK this time.
