The Who – Who's Better, Who's Best

Side 2 is cut hot. Side 1 ok. Overall it is not the best sounding album but it has a reasonable organic sound and a great playlist

The mastering and sound quality on this is atrocious. There are better options out there to get “the hits” from The Who, or pick up two or three of their better studio albums and you’ll have the majority of them that way.

this was a nice japan release from 1989...... i believe this was the first japan cd release as this did get a japan vinyl release in 1988...... good sound!! nice fat boy obi....i got this back in either late 89 or early 90..........

The Who has sold more than 100 records worldwide, and reason for those sales are mostly included on this collection of songs (the most notable exception being Baba O'Reilly, likely due to its length). That song aside, the majority of the band's biggest hits are included, and in no particular order, as the tracks jump from album to album, which makes for an entertaining listen. The mastering on this record is nothing short of spectacular. Every song sounds about as good as it ever did, maybe even better. It is it truly remarkable and very worthy of any classic rock record collection.

i got this uk copy of this great compilation back in 1988 as it was out a few weeks before the us copy, my copy has a sticker on the front right hand corner of the sleeve that states AS SEEN ON T.V so i guess in the uk this was also a t.v special probably for a bundle of the lp/vhs tape and or maybe the cassette, anyway i found this copy in a greenwich village lp shop that was awesome for uk/ and european imports way back in the day.....

this was released in canada back in 1988 for the whos then 25th anniversary. this copy was a small bunch off the earliest printing that there was a cd linlay color mistake with, as you can see the color of the classic 1971 shot that was used for the us & canada inlays for this is PINK, im not sure how many of these got out way back then but the few times i have seen these pop up the sellers always seem to be in western canada, not sure how many made it out of the pressing plant but obviously by what i just said not many did, finally glad to have found a copy of this in grerat nm condition!!!!! ps as any who collector knows the us/canada inlay for the cd format & the sleeve for the double lp was BLUE not PINK so this is certainly a rarity..

i just got another copy of this 2 lp set, i got a nice promo version from 1988 with very nice hype stickers on the sleeve & all as well as the gold promo stamp. as i said 4 years back this sleeve was unique to the us but the inside of the gatefold is the same as most all other markets that released this as a gatefold sleeve......

this was a nice dutch edition of this lp back in 1988 on the obscure dutch label DINO, nice gatefold sleeve like the uk sleeve.

this was released for both the australian and new zealand market back in 1988 with a great gatefold sleeve and the sleeve in general seemed to be very much like the uk 1988 sleeve, the copy i have is the one you want to get your hands on as it has a nice silver sticker that says 25TH ANN lp stamped across the fornt left of the sleeve. i have seen this lp many times but i was always waiting to find one w/ that sticker and i just got one today in vg+ condition. the lp & sleeve where pressed in australia & was also exported to new zealand as well as singapore & hong kong and possibly malaysia

this was a great japanese edition of this compilation released back in 1988 for the whos then 25th ann, this japan edition has a very nice green obi and a standard japanese lyric inner sheet, this comes as a gatefold and was only pressed once in japan in 1988 right before the japanese stopped pressing lp & 45 vinyl records and embraced the cd format 100%
