The Who – Pop History Vol 4

this was a very nice second pressing of this pop history compilation by the who released in uruguay in 1975, the sleeves come matted apart in plastic very similar to some asian pressings from second world asian countries... the text is all in spanish on the sleeve and the lp with english in small letters to the side, there where not to many who records released back in the 70s in uruguay but oddly this is the only who lp that got a second printing in 1975, the first was in 1972.....i just got this second press today..

this was released in the early 1970s in Argentina. this edition unlike so many other editions in worldwide markets is unique as all song titles are in spanish text and the orange sleeve has more of a light orange coloring, the records have good sound to them and there is also spanish text inside the gatefold sleeve...........

this is one of the hard versions of this who compilation to find, the sleeve and the record where printed in and released to the scandinavia market only, the text on the inside of the sleeve is in german just like the german issue so to avoid confusion on the records you have to check the catlog number AND make sure this is printed on the lp label so you are 100% sure NCB, when you see ncb that means pressed in and released to sweden or norway in most cases but it also includes denmark. i was glad to grab a copy of this as i have never seen this before on e bay or discogs....................

i found this great 2 lp set about 40 years ago here in a local shop in the import section, nice sleeve from uruguay this one is, i have many other pressings of this compilation as this was released between 1971 and 1972 in a number of markets around the world great 60s collection of who hits and a few misses as well.

this was a unique copy of the pop history compilation from 1972, this was released in european and south american territories as a 2 lp set with the same sleeve as this one, this BRAZIL only pressing was very limited and pressed as a single lp instead of a 2 lp set and on the back of the sleeve all text is in portugese wich makes this a very collectable lp, also this is quite hard to find now days.....also i might note that the coloring of the sleeve outside of the classic 1969/1970 live shot of the guys has a much darker deeper pink then all other pressings....

this is a very nice french 2 lp compilation with a great 60s track listing, the sleeve is very nice and it is a shiny laminated sleeve and opens up into a very nice gatefold, this was released in in the mid 70s sometime.....

this is a very nice italian edition of this common early 70s compilation lp that has been released in south america, , and a few others contries, this 2 lp set does pop up a lot BUT THIS EDITION FROM ITALY RARELY DOES, it took me years to find a copy of this, the only thing that makes this version very unique obviously is the band photo smack in the middle of the sleeve, the track listing is the same as all other territories but it is the sleeve that is the nicest part of this and this does not pop up often as it is 42 years old now.......

The Cat# for this 2 LP compilation is 2664 435, and is on the front, back and spine of the gatefold sleeve. The Cat# on the vinyl discs is 2488 014 (disc 1) and 2488 015 (disc 2). This release needs to be completely updated and corrected.
