Both tracks are excellent sounds scapes. Quest is rather minimalist, but incredibly effective with it simplistic drums, and two note bass line. The three note chime and 'hold tight' vocal add a cold dark side feel to it.

Night Flight is is a dark bumpy bass line journey, with some sporadical but nicely crafted amens kicking in to add that bit of tension.

Both track were massive during the 90s and still get played today. It's a shame Andy C and Shimon didn't stick with this minimalist formula and produce a few more dark side tracks like these

This is right up there in contention for one of the best bits of drum and bass vinyl ever pressed. Two proper classics on one record. Awesome.

Quest is the better track, the bassline has to felt to truly appreciate the dancefloor damage this one causes.

Definitely gonna get torn into for this, but ANYTHING Andy C, BCUK and the like has put out is straight up unremarkable and boring.

It's like songs like this turned jungle into dnb, turned the creative expression of jungle into what feels like if you turned a cash grab into a song. It sounds like it was made by a company, rather than a bored 20-something at their computer. It's just not good.

Most of modern drum and bass has modelled itself of of this and similar records like it.

A lot of Ram Records songs just sound fucking boring, just go listen to Photek, or something.

I'm probably going to get slated for this, but always felt like Quest is kind of boring. Granted it sounds weighty through a big rig, but it doesn't really go anywhere, and there are loads of better tunes using that kind of bass sound (Friday, Truly One, Fire and Water etc.)

Night Flight, on the other hand, is an absolute banger. One of the most iconic dnb basslines of all time, and the clattery amens on the second drop cement this tune's legendary status. I must have heard it thousands of times and I've never got bored of it, particularly in Andy C sets where he drops it out of nowhere and the dance explodes. Essential stuff.

Both tracks have wicked sub bassline's and cool funky beats and will and have rocked many a DB dancefloor, a great EP:)
