It gets the party started that is for certain. Who was this band and where did they go? Great album.

This version sounds great. It appears that the US release was a 3 LP and this French release is 2 LP. I can't comment on the 3 LP but if you have a choice I'd probably go with this one. For one 2 LPs seem sufficient. About 15 minutes of music on each side and levels seem good. I also. Noticed that the French edition has Black City which the US version does not. I wonder if that has to do with sample clearances as I know that track samples the Taxi Driver movie.

Plenty of bass and good high range.

A cool mellow jazzy French breakbeat album. Gives me a feeling of 1970’s New York scenes morphed with sultry Parisian female vocals throughout which adds that French class and touches on funky elements of smoky ambient hip hop breaks. Reminds me of Les Gammas a little and it took me about 4 listens to fully appreciate. I had already heard 2 tracks from compilations so bought it and was glad there was no rapping on it. So it works beautifully for me.

"Electrorloge" samples Herbie Hancock's Kraftwerk-esque "Rain Dance." An album of interesting textures do dig into.

In my opinion is all about "Awake"... mid tempo insane journey with an hypnotic "guitar-bass". Special attention to the shift from broken beat to 4/4 that makes me craaazy! A solid 5/5.

Track "Too Old To Die" uses a sample taken from "Canyon Lady", perfomed by Joe Henderson (1973).
