One of my all-time favourite albums in a collection of nearly two thousand across all genres. "Variations On a Chill" is the strongest instalment in a very good series, and sees regular rotation through my playlist year after year. To what others have said about this album I can't add more. It is perfect.

Probably one of the best 90s compilations of electronica/downtempo.
First heard it around 1995 copied to tape from a mate when I was 19. Wore it out. Bought the CD, got scratched.
Bought the 4x vinyl album - treasured part of the collection now.
So many good tracks on this - really high quality music that will never age.
Plus a cheap way to own Nuron - Mirage...
        Just beautiful music!

Wow, This is a fine floating killer Compilation, so many moods fine beats and great trax, the absolute standout is once again by Abacus. He samples a preacherman on his 'A Place In Time Track', that sounds a lot like the Vocals by MLK on CAN U FEEL IT? or like Preacherman by Green Velvet. Absolute Killer Track, that still sits beautiful in this fine sounding adventurous journey. I thought three was my favourite, not any longer. This is so great - everyone should own a copy !

A VERY special album in my collection from a young 1995-96, when i purchased this classic compilation, My first of these compilations I bought. A well marked & I believe important compilation of this time, showcasing all genre's, artists & the mood of music back then. ALL are great. I 'Pandas In Tandem' by Harold Budd & Hector Zazou standing out in my head. 'Mirage' by Nuron, a nostalgia inducing beauty.
Heights of Abraham's 'EVA' is a downtempo jazzy track, reminiscent of an advert from the 80's in parts, for Canada tourism Board..(anyone ?). A classic from old & can still stand today too. Check this!!

Classic, classic, classic Chill Out compilation and by far the best out of this series. DJ Morpheus mixes an astounding selection of beats and downtempo grooves across 2 discs. There are just so many hidden and obscure gems, as well as A grade certified downtempo gems on this compilation that it needs to be checked! All the tracks sit together superbly taking in a real journey and kaleidoscope of moods & sounds. There's classical Deep House from Ron Trent, awesome jazzy Jungle from LTJ Bukem and T Power, etheral chill out & electronica from Heights of Abraham, YBU and D*Note.... and so much more. There really isn't a duff or filler track on here. It's absolutely spell-bindingly brilliant!
