Notes
Paul Hardcastle added Mike Oldfield to the songwriting credits in later releases because Oldfield sued him about the melody in 19. It sounds very similiar with a sequence in his Tubular Bells Part 1 (starts at the duration 19:50) and supposed that Hardcastle copied it.

This is a jewel of electronics made by a brilliant mind like Paul Hardcastle, undoubtedly ahead of what we are currently experiencing.
-
I was very satisfied with the order. Great Packaging and great condition. I will surely shop with this in the future.

I was nineteen when Paul Hardcastle released 19. During that Era we had great British electronic music pioneers such as John Rocca from Freeze, Yazoo, Depeche Mode, Gary Numan, Bronski Beat etc...topping the charts. Suddenly, the very same year of 1985 Electronic music was reborn in Chicago and Detroit giving birth to House music without taking away the fact that New York City always had the best label such as SAM, Prelude, Salsoul West End Records with great producers and Remixers such as Arthur Baker Shep Pettibone etc. We can even go back a decade earlier to the mid 70s when Kraftwerk released AUTOBAHN, however the Robots will always be track that I can personally say got me hooked to Electro Music.

referencing 19 (12", 33 ⅓ RPM, Single) 4V9 42875
people writing a lot to say this is an electro banger that uses samples... -

This record was massive on London pirate radio around Easter 1985 , sending it to Number 1 in the pop charts for 5 weeks , and I dont think Ive ever heard it played since then . Can't be many records like that . The beats sound decent 39 years later !

These are my 2 favorite versions of ''19'', super clear, defined, yet detailed and jumps out at you! -

referencing 19 (The International EP) (6×File, FLAC, EP, Compilation, Stereo, 24-Bit / 44.1 kHz ) none
Great EP. Finally released digitally. But I wonder why the first 4 tracks are mono. Only the 2 extended mixes are stereo. Probably a production fault. Or the original master tapes of these stereo single versions from 1985 are lost, and mono copies were the only one left. Who knows.... -
Missed opportunity!
Should have been German, Spanish and Japanese version on B-Side
maybe next time, plus a CD release -
Side B as is always the case with Paul Hardcastle's B sides is excellent. Excellent sound quality. [ Playing this using an Ortofon 2M Black cartridge ]
