Lady Gaga – Mayhem

Best Gaga release yet. I get that different is hard to accept. This record has a bit of everything and is great just put on and do literally anything or nothing at all.

Sounds mostly fantastic, I've noticed some sibilance on the inner ring (especially noticeable for me on "Vanish Into You") even after cleaning which is a shame but otherwise pretty good!

Right now this is currently the prize of my entire collection. So glad I held off on buying this album until this version was released. I'm a sucker for 180g vinyl due to the weight and how they feel. Everything sounds great to me.
Only issue I have is with the inner sleeves. I LOVE they put art on the sleeves, but I wish they were a different material.

The melody of the verse on Killah is practically Sign O The Times by Prince. The Princey/Wendy Melvoin funk guitar at the end pretty much seals the argument. Not that I mind one bit, it is just plain to hear ;)
Over all, I reckon this to be Lady Gaga back in form, still not minding any tour/detour she decides to do from this perspective, the album still sums up and continue on the original Gaga magic power pop in its rather Swedish guise (albeit the total absence of any national, the spirit is still partially here).
With all these different covers/pressings/colors I ended up with this white Amazon edition as the aesthetics spoke the most to me, and in this case I do prefer three full sides more than four. I can't care much for the etching, it is still "in line", but a full poster, that is always nice (Thanks!! :)
I probably enjoy the first half of the album more than the later part, but with only one spin, I realize that the unwinding into non-toxic topics might have its soothing counter measures that I will learn to appreciate.
My copy has no serious flaws, but I should probably have wet cleaned it before playing (the white vinyl was so seductive!).
The mastering/sound is indeed a bit too thin and too bright on higher volume as pointed out by others and more detail to the bass frequencies would have paid off on the more modern/bold tracks at the beginning, cause the bass surely doesn't help drawing you in. But Lady Gaga does ❤️

In love with the etching & the jacket quality. I really wish other modern releases would use this type of card for their vinyl jackets!

As my first picture disc, I was surprised at how good the sound quality is. I also have the Target version of this record because I wanted to have "Kill For Love." That version also has "Vanish Into You" as the last song of side A, but because this edition squeezes the extra track "Can't Stop the High" before it, you won't really hear all the treble on "Vanish Into You" since the record is spinning slower closer to the center.

This album is so good it should have been pressed into 4 sides, it makes no sense they squeezed it into 3 sides, lazy/greedy decision by the label. However, I'm glad I have both bonus tracks in my collection! And the Zoetrope is pretty neat.

Exceptional release. No surface noise at all. Great bass and vocal clarity. It's very well done mastering. The package has way more quality compared to the store edition as usual Japan issues. Go for it if you can.

Maybe I'm unlucky, but my copy has a lot of problems: cyclic loud rustling noise on A4 Perfect Celebrity, clicks in the end of A6 Vanish into You and C4 Die with a Smile, which is very frustrating. Ultrasonic cleaning didn't help. Ordered Exclusive Target Yellow edition - no such issues there!

My copy sounds great, no noise or pops. I see the Sterling mastering logo etched into it, which is always good
