Only heard this on a friend's set up, so it's not an entirely valid comparison, but the originals are cheaper, easy to find and my US og sound better to me than this press.

Not adding much to other reviews but this LP sounds seriously incredible. Wouldn't be a stretch to say it's the best sounding record I have.

Amazing dynamics. Turn up the volume!
BUT my copy is quite noisy, a lot of small pops even after multiple ultrasonic cleanings.

I agree about the quality of the sound on this, plus a very quiet pressing. I haven't heard the KG reissue, but I'd be surprised if it betters this by much.

Amazing presentation, have no other version to compare. However, knowing this one keeps me confident it is the best.

Outstanding pressing of this record, beats the original which also sounds good. Musically as good as it gets with Basie in both large and small group formats

Rare and great sounding quality reissue…it comes from a series of underrated RTI and Acoustic Sounds Releases. All releases i heard from this series sound very good with a quiet surface and a very authentic and analog sound….recommended!

As stated, this record is an absolute sleeper. Grab a copy before they are no longer around. This is an audiophile's dream find. It has zero hype, and all the dynamics you could want in a record. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed.
