A nice pressing , limited sonically by squeezing so many tracks per side. It’s a shame this album isn’t released as a double. The yellow vinyl is tasteful and my copy was dead flat and silent.

One of the rare occasions where the country of origin pressing is disappointing.
Was lacking dynamics and detail so I purchased a Japanese Unipak pressing which is miles better…and also includes “shout to the top” which the UK pressing doesn’t

I bought a great copy. My LP sounds fantastic, really quiet.

Sounds good to me. Coloured vinyl can be hit and miss but this one is fine.

Nobody could share a comment on sound quality?

Different Italian version without "Made In England" on the label.

The second studio album, and probably the most commercially successful. I liked it a lot, but not as much as their first album. I found some of the songs too overtly political and not as soulful and mellow as Cafe Bleu. Still very listenable, and much better than subsequent releases. Recording quality is good, with a typical 80s sound.

This is just a brilliant work of art. Do yourself a favour. Get the first 3 Council LP's they're all brilliant. Goes without saying that Weller's in top form throughout but Mick Talbot is a genius! Special mention as well to D C Lee whose contribution often goes unsung.

While I don't doubt it, I don't get the hype sticker referring to another cover as there is not another or previous north American or even US release, unless there is simply no entry yet created. Or they somehow mean the Brazil release which does have the other cover.
