This is a collectors item through and through. I am happy to finally own it and get the rarities I have not previously owned, along with the music videos and documentary. The amount of effort put into this box set is impressive but the content included relies on a good amount of nostalgia as well. The mastering for each album is good and the bonus tracks are a nice little bonus. If you are serious about ABBA this is a holy grail but for any recent fans, there are better options to get the albums.

Argh .. I can not listen to this compressed mastering quality without any dynamics. I can not enjoy. Not loud and not with headphones. Money & Work for NOTHING. -
This massive (in of music quantity, not physical size) box set could only ever be considered as the ultimate ABBA fan's collector's item. As such, it's a bit of a letdown. The design of the box is merely okay, and the finish on the individual cardboard sleeves is very rough, although the artwork reproduction is generally very good. The 2 hardcover books of lyrics and timeline are attractive and informative. The dvd component feels like an afterthought, especially the incomplete final tv concert; "The History" documentary was already redundant at the time of the set's release, superseded by the more thorough "The Winner Takes It All" and "Super Troupers". Probably the most enticing aspect of the band's complete videos on 1 dvd is the inclusion of the truly odd "The Last Video". No real attempt was made to create anything new. The best aspect of the set is the truly superlative sound, remastered yet again. If you're a big ABBA fan and find this at a discounted price (it's supposedly a limited edition, but 3 years after release it's still readily available) it's worth your money.
