Café Tacvba* – Re

La banda más difícil de conseguir en vinilo sin duda.

En Colombia se consigue en mas o menos USD. 110 lo cual solo indica que seguiré escuchando mi cd. Para ser una edición 30 aniversario de tal vez el álbum más emblemático del rock latinoamericano creo que se queda corta.

I just want to throw a few things out there for anyone considering buying this. There are some people questioning whether it is legit or not. I bought three titles in this "vinilos de collecion" series that come with booklets and are on colored vinyl. The other two had gatefold jackets, and the title and cataformation were written on the spine of the jacket. This one comes in a single sleeve jacket, and there is no title or catafo on the spine.

The cover also looks like it was taken from a bad scan of a CD booklet, while the other two releases are sharp, crisp photos. The text is fuzzy on the front and the image looks a little faded and worn. However, all of the text on the labels and on the jacket on the back is very crisp.

Another red flag is the barcode used here is the same barcode for the CD. On the other two albums in this series I bought, they had unique barcodes to that vinyl release. I've also read where the band sold this pressing at their shows. I don't think a band would sell pirated copies of their albums to their fans, but that's just an assumption.

All of this being said, it plays near flawlessly, and the color of the vinyl matches the conch nicely. This is such a good album, and if it is an unofficial release, someone should lose their job because it should be in print at all times. It was ranked the number one Latin music album of all time in several polls I read. It's all over the place. It took me several listens to really get it and now I need to dive deeper into their catalog.

El sonido un poco mejor que el naranja argentino aunque diferencia abismal no la hay. El diseño a mi punto de vista deja mucho que desear, si nos iban a encajar ese precio mínimo los dos vinilos de color ya que pusieron uno rojo, y un buen booklet…
Con tal de tenerlo por primera vez en “original”, venderé el argentino y me quedaré con este.

Alguien puede comentar sobre la calidad del disco? Sonido y presentación, en especial por el nivel de precio

Besides the nostalgic effect of finally hearing this album on vinyl, this bootie is a really fine piece. Great mastering and pressing, also quite wise to be having this in two records instead of just one, with overlaid grooves as in the first Colombian pressing Re.

Esta edición es idéntica a la edición argentina de 2022. Tiene un sticker/pegatina con un código de barras para Chile sobre el código de barras original de la versión argentina.

La unica forma de tener este disco o el Avalancha, jamas seran editados de forma normal, por el sello, esto fue un error de coordinacion, y por eso salio, si piensas que Warner lo va a editar algun dia, eso no va a suceder, asi que compralo o quedate con las ganas, porque estos 2, son el verdadero edicion limitada, ya que hubo una pelea legal, cuando se dieron cuenta que lo editaron en Argentina por error, no fue autorizado, pero eso no lo hace pirata!

Sorpredentemente muy buena calidad de sonido (soy muy pesimista de las ediciones sudamericanas...), algunos pops, pero mínimo, muy buen rango y cristalino. Se agradece que sean 2 discos (según leí la primera edición que se prensó fue un solo disco y debe haber sonado muy plano).
Caratula básica, opaca (se ve como desteñido), ahí se pudo hacer algo mucho mejor, a mi gusto este es un disco fundamental del rock en español y ya que dieron el paso de prensarlo en 2 discos, es una pena que no tuvieran el mismo cariño con el empaque...

Amazing album! All about latinamerican rhythms! One hour of pure entertainment Highly recommend.
