Don't sleep on this boom bap hip-hop classic, the smooth flow & well-crafted lyrics show Common at his best, a truly underrated lyricist who should be revered with any of the legendary MCs. Album features from De La, Eryka Badu, Q-Tip & Black Thought make adding this classic to your collection a no-brainer

Edited 2 years ago#5 of 1997. Flat vinyl. Very full sounding with firm bass. Really well done. Sounds great and looks really cool. There is a little bit of a noise floor I notice right at beginning but I don't notice it the second the music starts. Maybe a couple pops or clicks that are not directly sample related but well pressed. Really nice separation and a very balanced presentation. Better sounding than 95% of Hip Hop records I've heard.

a lot of surface noise.... but no click no pops, beautiful vinyl and package, I did a deep cleaning but still sounds muddy and noisy

I enjoryed "One Day It'll All Make Sense". It's no "Be", but I can see where it fits in Comm's discography. "One Day ..." is an album composed of "Real Nigga Quotes" (haha) over mostly No I.D. production. Legends in their early years as Common goes from stacking up for an abortion at the beginning of the record to having his father provide words of how he learned from Comm at the closer of the record. From the jump one can already see this is a personal record, with Comm plastering a childhood pic with his mother on the cover. Fresh of the Ice Cube beef and dropping Sense from his moniker, Common sticks to words of introspection in an era that was obese with a lavishness and proudness as hip hop was becoming more and more profitable to the powers that be, still Common kept it real with his audience, and it payed off.
