Miranda might be the most timeless track I have ever had the pleasure of owning. It literally gives me the shivers. Kuiper is amazing as well, there is just something about Miranda that awakens an entirely different level of sensation in me. Its the kinda track that you'd rush to if you know what I mean. That wave just comes over you and you cant hold back anymore.

I bought this when it was first released and obviously loved it but kinda forgot about it after a while. But then, a couple years later I was visiting Barcelona and my first night there I went for this random walk, just following the sound of some music I recognized playing kinda close by. I turned a corner and suddenly I arrived at the waterfront where I found Kenny Larkin mixing the sh☆t out of all my favorite Chicago House and Detroit Techno records for several thousand people who were all just going completely bonkers (totally free event btw, sponsored by the city). It was jam after jam after jam, and then he dropped this beast and it was just straight pandemonium. I thought that crowd might spontaneously combust at any moment. That's how I came to learn of this track's awesome power.

Sean Deason, about 'Metropolis' by Convextion:
"Metropolis, 1995: I'm sitting in the mastering session with Mark for this record. He skips through the DAT, gets the gist of the track and sets his levels on all of his gear. He starts cutting the master lacquer and some time into recording the super high super dense phasing frequencies kick in. Mark jumps up in a panic and runs across the room, cus a storm, over to the machine in mortal fear his cutting head is about to blow! He had not listened to the entire track before beginning cutting and had not anticipated the buildup in that section. He was pissed! He said a new head would've cost $70,000 and he'd be out of business for months while he had a new one built. It was not my fault though. He should've listened all the way through. And thats how Convextion almost took out Metropolis and the entire Chicago techno/house music scene."

There are only about 5 records that have the capacity to make me immediately choke up if not cry. This taps into the golden era of my life where discovery, love and excitement all came together and this classic always takes me right back to those days. Atkins and May both did it to me. It's glorious. Complete mental surrender when listening to this every time. And tonight I get to see Convextion live for the second time.

This is a nice deep house/techno track that I hearing from a mix CD that I have (maybe Juan Atkins's Wax Trax mix) but not worth the prices being asked. If this is getting repressed however, im into that.
