Apart from the labels being not as "Schulzy" as those of the earlier releases, the sound quality of my copy is simply stunning.
Though without direct comparison I dare say this is a good pressing from decent source-material. It'd surprise me if earlier releases sounded any better.

Musicwise interesting, not exactly my style. Remarkable I find the first song which sounds like a prototype Goa-Techno in slowmo to me. I also founf it refreshing to listen to a full record of Schulze's making that is rather light-hearted and easy going, almost humourous in parts, not having his usual darkish flavour.
I like it & I will keep it.

One of Klaus best and also Arthur Brown’s . The vocals make it and for those who would rather hear it without then I suggest you pick something from the other 200 or so Klaus releases from his back catalogue which are Arthur free.

Indeed, it is curious as to why this edition of Time Actor is "blocked" for sale on Discogs. Curiously, the original issue on Innovative Communications credited to Richard Wahnfried (alias Klaus Schulze?) remains "unblocked". I have a copy of the Cherry Red release so do not have any personal reason to see it "unblocked" but it is nevertheless curious.

Just curious how this version is "blocked" for sale on Discogs, when it is an officially licensed release through Cherry red records AND Arthur Brown? DEFINITELY NOT A BOOTLEG RELEASE!!!

I agree with the reviews below, the spoken word vocal is generally not adding much. The album should be remixed, without it.

Arthur Brown's presence on this record really makes for a unique listen, nothing else Klaus put out really sounds like this. Really ahead of its time too, its more or less berlin school/ spoken word (as you can imagine)

Way ahead of this time, ruined only by the vocals, this is amazing, a 80s album made in 79.

Oh man how I wish there was a instrumental version of this record. The added voice doesn't add much and on some tracks it takes away from the beautiful melodies. For that reason I wouldn't recommend this to an untrained ear. You could try to tune out the voice and enjoy the music.

The only 2 tracks where the voice is not in the way are "Charming The Wind" & "Grandma's Clockwork". Both get a 5/5 and I recommend them to any lover of Experimental music.
