Characteristics point to these first 4 versions being released in this order. In of the number released of the 1st pressing, Greg Ginn confirmed in 2014 that the number of Brick Wall style 1st Pressings was 2,000... not 500. I got this record off the Barnes and noble website last week. It came pressed on a gray vinyl with hints of multiple colors on it. Could it be a misprint or a different pressing? I’ve looked for other releases with this color but I can’t seem to find it. -
Can someone help me out? I have been trying to collect all the versions for a number of years. I just got my hands on what I thought was a 12th version. According to the description on here it meets every criteria except one. It has the same blue label as the label on the 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th pressings, and is a small hole press, and the sleeve is the exact description (not a glossy like previous versions) and has the exact opening cut as described.
According to this blog the only "difference in the deadwax runout between this pressing and the previous five versions... in the previous five versions, the "R-12806" in the deadwax runout looks like the "0" was actually a very small "6" and then was scratched out in a circular motion giving the appearance of a "0". In this 12th Version, the small "6" is intact and has not been scratched out." But my copy has the small "6" scratched out. I have the 10th and 14th versions and I compared and the sleeves are different and the deadwax has that described scratch as well on the 10th, while the 14th has a different runout. Is it possible that the 12th version may have also had some scratched out "6" pressed?? All other criteria have been met, but it doesn't fit the description of any other versions. Thanks. -
