I can tell you for certain that "Eminence Front" is NOT remixed. This is the 1982 mix for sure with Pete's vocals panned wide right. Makes me wonder what other info above is incorrect.

not sure if this is a later in the 90s remastered edition or the original as i have the original us & japan sets of this, if this did get a reissue AFTER 2000 then that would be a remaster i would want to get but if this was remastered again in the 90s then it would not be worth a second re purchase as in 2000 to 01 WOW!!! the record companies really nailed it w/ the cd format and getting in that great sound SIMILAR ( but not the same) as vinyl always gave............ there is no year listed above regarding when this was released????? im very pleased vinyl made such a huge comeback but the cd sound post 2000 got so, so much better then it was in the 80s and through most of the 90s..............the best thing w/ vinyl is the LOUD 12 BY 12 sleeves and the great artwork some sleeves have as well as the audiophile sound without the digital sound, still i love both formats....................... -
this was an amazing box set released back in 1994, all the information you need is listed above, there is no more i can add to this, its to bad in the 27 years since i bought this one and the japan edition brand new there has not been another great who box set like this released w/ more killer dvd footage ( as this was released in the vhs era) that is out there as i have many who bootleg dvds that are pro shot, the one show that is in black and white ( but could be enhanced into color) is the november 20, 1973 show on the opening night of the original quadrophenia tour where keith es out toward the end of the gig and the lucky scott halpin( rip) from the crowd got to take moons place for the last couple of songs, he did a great job on the smokestack lightning jam but anyway there was a killer super deluxe edition of THE WHO SELL OUT 7 cd box set that came out earlier this year and that is the best who box set to come out besides this one back in 94, there are 2 killer super deluxe bootleg box sets of TOMMY & WHOS NEXT but they are oop now and pete did deluxe TOMMY & QUADROPHENIA back in 2011 to 2013 and those are great to, there is still plenty i have on bootleg and god knows what i dont have on bootleg that could be included in another deluxe set like this today!!!!!!!!anyway i see there are no shortages of this one still left, i really enjoyed there cover of SATURDAY NIGHTS ALRIGHT FOR FIGHTING from 1991 that got included here as that obscure cover was only released as a cd single in late 1991 and it is also available on THIS BOX SET!!! wonderful package.

this is a fantastic box set that came out wow!!! 25 years ago already, great song mixes and an over all great box, this was probably the best who cd box set that ever came out in the us, this even has the rare 1992 who version of the elton john classic saturdays alright for fighting to close out disc 4, the vhs tape is great but die hards like me have most all of that stuff on dvd now, my only complaint was this did not come with a good enough inner book w/ vintage photos etc etc, i got the japanese version of this box set way back in the day it is a lot nicer, also this comes in a record company box pack that includes a t shirt if that is important..
-
i got this 4 cd set of 30 years of maximum r&b box set from japan 23 years back in 1994 when this was released, it sure went oop as fast as it was released, anyway i felt the remastering was much better on this edition and this also comes with a japan only booklet, as well as a booklet with english lyrics and an essay on the who in japanese, also has a nice gold hype sticker in japanese on the front, that is if you can still find a sealed copy of this!!!!!!!!!

back in 1994 this was a killer us only 4 cd box set that saw a lot of then who tracks that had yet to make it to the cd format for the first time especially here in the us, mca put this out along with an awesome vhs tape called maximum r&b ( 30 years of wich is now on dvd) as well as a great booklet with great photos, this box set also features the whos 1991 cover of saturday nights alright for fighting wich i dont belive is on anything else, i have the japan version of this box set as well as an mca super edition of this wich comes with the box set you see here as well as a t shirt and the video all in one box, this is the ultimate us who collection next to some awesome japan and european bootlegs i have that feature stuff that did not make this box set, sadly since 1982 the whos days of making great new music is almost 4 decades behind them now in 2017 as that endless wire record back in 06 was awful, i can be happy if the who released awesome sets like this every couple of years from here on in, no more new music and or new live shows, there are still a lot of killer live who shows i have as boots from the 1960s and 70s that should be officially released........................as well as 60s/70s t.v appearances -

this was a limited box set released back in 1994, mca records usa put this out, what you get is the 4 cd set and the vhs of the maximum r&b video as well as a really cool color booklet and a nice thick cotton who t shirt, also featured on here are some pretty rare mixes of who classics and i belive this is the only set where the whos 1991 cover of saturday nights alright for fighting was released ( in 1991 it was on a soundtrack i belive) as for the vhs well as per 1994 a lot of the footage was very rare but most of it is all out there now on dvd offcially and unofficially............ nice collectors item!!!!!!
