The Oliver Klein remix is something that M.I.K.E. could have also produced, but didn't. Absolutely hypnotic dark trance at it's finest. The problem is that the Oliver Klein remix can only be found on vinyl and never saw a digital release on CD. Very poor.

Revisting this, I can definitely say there's a good reason you don't hear about this one too often: it's just not good. Not sure what others hear in it but this sounds very lacking and not up to snuff with other releases. I'm surprised this wasn't left as b-side content.

The quintessential "underrated" EDM track, maybe ever.. This one is really wound together tightly from the first beat, or melody. It combines electro breaks fused with some proggy techno/trance rhythms, which in a strange way, wasnt a notable sound for Klaus & Maximillian. Ultimately it's a sublimely performed piece of music in the most heavenly sense possible, leaving no signs of junk in the way for the listener. Quite possibly, it may still be relevant in an EDM style DJ set today, more than 15 years later. Never heard much like it before or since...

This one is with no doubt the best mayday-anthem ever! I don't understand why it is so underrated...
The melody is so futuristic and timeless at the same time and this unimposing "sonic"-robovoice creates a kind of infinity.
It also brought the electro beat - which you can hear in two parts of the song - (back) into trance music.

              5/5

Sonic Empire is in the eyes of many people the best of all Mayday anthems, and the one with the highest reputation. The Three'n one mix whatsoever does fail to master this, also due to the fact that the original Theme comes in very late. Fans of "Sonic Empire" should rather stick to the original. I am against single sided releases in geneneral, but this one is definitely not worth a single sider!
