Excellent compilation full of anomalies. While all are covers, this gives a very good overview of what the UK music scene was all about in '92. Some covers are reverent but connect the direct influence to the artist covering, while others take the song and turn it on it's head. Nothing overproduced, so it sounds fresh, like a really good b-side that could be an a-side. Definitely worth hunting down. There is a lot of music here, I recommend the CD.

Love this compilation so much, manages to be very of its time due to the pre-Britpop era and yet timeless due to the classics covered. Have it on CD and hunted down the vinyl too. Great 3LP set though the outer jackets have come unstuck over time.

A very fine compilation of cover versions! Most of the tracks are great or at least interesting. Some bands keep close to the original, some tranfer the original into their sound. Real pearls: The Fall, Jesus Jones, Bob Geldof, Marc Almond, Inspiral Carpets, Curve... Best Apache version I ever heard!
