I found an ex con copy of this in a charity shop today for 30p. Happy days.

Any chance for this compilation to be repressed? Otherwise, i'm mainly after the track "The love I lost", anyone knows if it appears on any other compilation? -
Does anyone know how much the version of "You can't hide" differs from the shorter super disco blend? Cant find any videos or streams.

Another favorite remixer/ DJ of mine is Dimitri. There is just something about a selector that can alter a cut and make it not only more dj friendly, but make it sound like they could have been produced originally by the artists, and their production/ edinting crew(s). No wonder Dimitri is still one of the more popular DJs reproducing, and presenting heavy cuts from the past.
While all of these songs are well done, the heat IMHO is Dimitri's retouch of The Love I Lost. It sounds just as good as the original, if not better, with just a hint of thicker bass. WHile I feel its a sad song, it has that special something that folks cant but help sing along to. And of course, With that extra TLC, it makes for a stomper of a track.
Nevermind tha price(s) you see; if you are into the Philly grooves, or Dimitri, This is one of the 2x2 vinyls youll want for your collection. Definitely worth it.

Edited 11 years agoThe 2CD "Get Down With The Philly Sound" and the double-12" are awesome. But where is part 4/4 of the Vinyl edition? Part 3/4 was issued in 2010 and we are now in 2014. Strange.
Please clarify! Thanks. -
