Just received this fresh out of the shrink with a massive pressing error on B1. Looks like some sort of debris got in while being pressed. Makes the track unplayable!

Bought a sealed version of it. Gave it a good clean before 1st listening and it sounds great to my ears. Can't compare it to previous pressings since i haven't listened to any. Being one of my top 5 albums and wanting to have it in my collection i happy i was able to grab it for a reasonable price.

A single short skip on "Betrayal" is the only really negative thing to say about this otherwise great release and unlike others on other records it doesn't go away by increasing the tonearm weight. Sounds really good, no pops and clicks, not even dirt and static although cheap paper inner sleeves were used. Guess I can live with the skip, it's really affecting only a single word.

Edit: Lol, right after posting this, I went back to the mentioned spot and all of a sudden and without me doing anything, the skip is gone and now there is only a small pop.

Sounds fine to my ears. Not noticeably richer or better in quality than streaming, but no pressing issues, skips or clicks/pops either. But god the packaging is a pain. This should have been a triple gatefold- stuffing two discs with paper sleeves into the same housing took me a solid three whole minutes of nudging back and forth. Extremely frustrating

I am so f***** annoyed by this album's vinyl format. It's Gang Starr's most popular album and it gets apparently pathetic limited runs every time. I was off this website for the summer, and of course that's the time they decide to repress. Now we're in September, and resellers are already putting it up for 120 $? Get your sh*t together

Can anyone comment on the quality of this pressing compared to the OG and 2015 versions? Thanks

This is the 2023 repress of the 2015 reissue. Mine sounds great. No clicks, pops or defects.

When I ordered this I was so worried that I was gonna get the 2023 repress. Not that that is any bad at all. Anyways. I ended up gettin this version and I am so pleased with it. Sounds great and is a true masterpiece from the one and only Premier behind the weels of steel and Guru on the mic🙌
