Garbage.Don’t buy it.Worst sounding record in my collection.The night of the vinyl dead.This is not joke

the quality of my vinyl was horrible which really is saddening because this 45RPM 2LP format is so great for crowbar. the sound is massive and dynamic but i guess i got a shit copy. Really disappointed especially after hearing the Odd Fellows Rest gimmie metal reissue.
Almost sounds like tiny scratches all over the record. TONS of rotating “distorted” scratch noises. it’s not quite a pop it just sounds like a dirty record even after multiple cleanings. Seems just like a rushed repress with little quality control.
Maybe i just got a bum copy but ill be sticking to the Cd for now -
I bought my copy directly from eOne and it has a large scratch over the first 2 tracks of side B and a bunch of loud pops during Dream Weaver. Also the second vinyl (sides C and D) is really noisey, kind of a loud hiss throughout. -
My copy sounds great. It would have been nice to indicate that this is pressed at 45RPM on the packaging though. -
Some minor pops on this that don't pull away from the music. So it's not perfectly quiet.
However, the music explodes on this pressing; very dynamic. Would be tough to listen to the CD version again. -
Great looking vinyl. Haven't listened yet but eOne is usually pretty good. -
Very bad pressing. Sound quality is horrible. Nice to have for the real Crowbar fans though. -
Edited 7 years agoUnfortunately the pressing is bad and sounds totally disappointing...totally overpriced and really intolerable! :(
