Edited 9 months agoMy copy plays fantastic - don't have any kind of distortion/clipping thast other are talking about. There's an ever so slight bit of warping but that doesnt affect audio. What i would say is that you can hear a a small bit of vinyl hush at run-ins / between tracks but even at very quite ages you can't hear it.
Overall, happy to have these fab tunes on vinyl. -
Pretty disappointing cheap pressing. Color vinyl sort of matches the cover circles but definitely more "purple". There's just a generic paper sleeve inside, no insert, no liner notes like the original CD version. It's machine numbered on sleeve. Mine came with 'rubbing' scratches on side 2 which says there was no QC at the plant. But otherwise plays fine. Not sure I'd buy another "Optimal Media" vinyl pressing, they seem like a cheap outfit. This whole package is surely not worth more than 15$ USD in reality.

No issues with my copy at all. Pressing is very good, nice and quiet with dynamics similar to the CD. I would describe the colour more a purple than pink.

Yep the vinyl pressing is definitely really good. Extremely well mastered. Love this compilation. The highlight of this release for me is 'New Dawn Fades' just a fantastic track. Always wanted it on vinyl after i watched the movie 'Heat' in the cinema where the track is used starring Robert De Niro & Al Pacino. The track 'God Moving Over The Face Of The Waters' also features in the movie. Great film BTW for anyone who hasn't seen it yet :)
Another fantastic track is 'First Cool Hive' used in the slash/horror movie 'Scream'
I rate this compilation 5 stars.

This pressing is very good, the sound is well judged, it is sufficiently present... phenomenal take on "New Dawn Fades", he nailed it... mind you though, side 2 is 28 minutes long, and it carries some quiet tracks, so a proper cleaning with supress any noise!!!

Received my copy today, ordered from Moby's site.
Packaging was poor and cover is damaged on both top corners.
Vinyl is badly warped.
Sound quality is terrible with clipping and distortion.
Sending it back -

Moby has become as large of an electronic icon from his music which has appeared in motion pictures.
Here is a great compilation of all the tracks from Moby that have appeared in some fashion with regards to films. One of my favorites is God Moving Over The Face Of The Waters, which can be heard at the end of the motion picture Heat, right before the end credits.
Ah-Ah was part of the film "Cool World."
And, a nice ripping-good track, the James Bond Theme, can be heard as how Moby interprets it.
This is a Moby effort that you can enjoy with your knowledge of films.
