referencing Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) (CD, Album) 9362-49631-2
I have a copy of this but theres been a card inserted as a front cover, which is identical to the cover shown above but actually translates the movies Title into German. I am not sure if this warrants a seperate entry, as, if the card is removed, the entry and my copy are identical. -
Exactly the same issues as other HP RSD releases. Pops, cracks, noise, almost everytime in left channel.

Edited one month agoSide A: Constant crackling on right channel tracks 1-5, tracks 6, 7 & 9 are much better, track 8 an annoying minor crack per rotation for several seconds
Side B: Constant RC crackle returns somewhat, less noticeable/not present during louder parts only on tracks 1-3, rest of side is without issues
Side C: an improvement, other than this weird walkie-talkie sound for half a second on the left channel on the first two tracks at their respective peaks, contains most of the highlights on the album
Side D: I was most excited for this side and it was ok.
Bit on the quieter side, not as detailed as I hoped it’d be, bass and bright moments don’t shine or are as exciting as I expected them to be. Seems like they just did a safe job on this record.
Standout tracks: The Goblet of Fire, The Maze, Voldemort, Another Year Ends, Hogwarts Hymn
Not sure I’ll go for the AtM release since I’ve been told it uses the same audio. -
Mine is very noisy on side A, looks like I’m buying the black version when it’s released, of the four rsd Harry Potter I’ve bought, 2 probably need replacements ( chamber of secrets side c is bad) 😞😡

Not a bad release, but not a great one either. Nice to have on vinyl for sure, but I would have preferred they didn't use clear vinyl.

Why is the bar code and the label number different on this release? All the LP's for the other films appear to have the same bar code and label number. As I have a brand new sealed copy, which I do not want to open, I cannot check if this anomaly is correct on this record or the above details are wrong.

Edited 5 years agoVery bad quality vinyl/ Pictue Disc. Noisy and popping all over the recording. Very sad for such a good soundtrack, Harry in Winter is in the top 3 of best Harry Potter music. These are made for the wall, not your turntable!
