Edited 6 months agoThis was marketed as the UK/European edition, even if it’s just the regular US pressing with a number sticker on front. Limited to 1000 numbered copies, if memory serves me right. -

Why did so many people seem to hate this album so much? I realise that it had a complicated backstory and was the result of Lost Highway combining bits of other rejected albums, but I personally think it's one of Ryan Adams' best albums. -

This sounds pretty good. Due to the nature of the album, some songs sound better than others. Dear Chicago for example sounds enormous. This press is nothing to shy away from if you’re a fan, but I’m sure that 2017 Chris Bellman press sounds great though. -

6/5 stars for me. I will never understand why this album is so maligned by fans and Ryan himself. After a bunch of recording sessions that would constitute an impressive boxset, this is golder than Gold. From the soulful ballads <i>Tomorrow</i> and <i>Jesus (Don't Touch My Baby)</i> to the rocking highs of <i>Starting to Hurt</i>, this is DRA at his unadulterated best.
