Megadeth – That One Night: Live In Buenos Aires

Dave sounds terrible. I absolutely love live recordings as they capture a moment in time with mistakes and everything. But this is not a good idea for Dave. His voice has lost a lot of its grit over the years and it is nowhere more clear than on this recording. Peace Sells is a perfect example of this. Dave’s voice sounds like a lounge singer’s voice: clean, clear, and without any umph to it. Besides that, one of my pet peeves at concerts is when bands/vocalists let the crowd sing parts of a song in place of them doing it. I mean, come on…I didn’t pay to hear a bunch of tone deaf people try singing the song, I paid for the band to sing. The best part about Peace Sells is the chorus, and Dave completely wimps out and doesn’t sing any of it. Instead he lets the crowd sing it. A total waste in my opinion. It’s one of the best songs in their catalog and he skips out on the best part of one of the best songs.

My recommendation is that you listen to the tracks above before buying the record. There’s a reason it sells as a three LP set for only $25…it’s just not that good, and in many ways.

What is the grams of the color vinyl.
I know the black is 180g as it states the black is a special audiophile 180g

Just picked up my copy yesterday for $30 sealed. This is basically the audio from the entire "That One Night: Live in Buenos Aires" DVD/Blu-Ray show. Super quiet pressing and sound quality is great! Super happy with this purchase! Rock on Droogies!!! \m/

Got the blue copy. High quality package, thick gatefold. Discs are perfectly flat. Can confirm from previous comments that disc 1 is very thin, flat sounding. But the 2 other discs then sound excellent. Weird.

LP #1 was flat - No range. I'm guessing a bad pressing. LP#2 and 3 ROCKED.

Pleasantly surprised by the sound on this since there is no mention anywhere who mastered it. Gatefold is of good quality as well. Very happy Megadeth fan here, and you will be too if your reading this and wondering if you should pick it up. ( No I’m not a seller on this site Haha)
