Just another glorious sounding Stereolab record. It’s become so common that it’s rather unremarkable. The consistent quality of both the music they release and their pressings is that to be envied by every other band. 5 stars, nothing else to say, brilliant.
-
Absolutely brilliant pressing. Clean crackle free vinyl. Sounds punchy and exciting throughout.
Among the best sounding records I own. A real lesson to others in how to do vinyl properly.
Seriously recommended. -

I think this pressing is the best that UHF disks have done. Glorious to the ears and looks amazing too. Personally glad they've switched from clear plastic.
-
I guess - as usual - 500 copies. First time I had to pay tax - Uk - nowadays GBR - to - 35 % ——-but the record itself was goddamned cheap. And sounds really really great! A great job to duophonic! Well done!
-
Maybe these will simmer down with time...$150 seems reasonable enough don't you think? Granted..they were super limited...Not quite sure why they didn't do a clear vinyl version to match the previous releases...this pleasing EVERYONE!

How many of these did they press? I just got mine in the mail—#40. Packaging was super dodgy but fortunately the actual contents arrived undamaged.

referencing Electrically Possessed [Switched On Vol. 4] (2×CD, Compilation, Remastered, Digipak) D-UHF-CD42
Side by side comparison of cd version of First of the Microbe Hunters to the new mastering reveals that this version is much more detailed and open. A very reassuring scenario, as it should, and does, sound better.
