Nigel Tufnel famously said, “There’s something about this that’s so black, it’s like, how much more black could this be? And the answer is, none. None more black.”
There is no record more orange than this release. -
How come we get a CD reissue of Heavy Rocks, but only LP reissues of Flood? That album is much better suited to the CD format

Just opened my copy after months of owning it and discovered that the second disc was actually for the 2020 pressing of Absolutego! Anyone else have this mix-up? Really disappointed because Rattlesnake is my favorite track :((

referencing Heavy Rocks (2×LP, Album, Limited Edition, Reissue, Remastered, Orange Transparent w/ Dark Orange) TMR-778
It's a flawless pressing and I'm glad that this seminal album finally made it into vinyl -
I said this in the comments 10 years ago - 'This is, without a doubt, their most smokin', straight up rock record they have made in their vast repertoire, so far...' - and this still holds true today - and with this vinyl re-release, holy jesus fuck the SOUND !!!.......one of the best rock records in existence.....!
-
I see people commenting on the different track order and wonder why they did that.
It's BORIS and they can do that and did it before. Just check the US vs Japanese versions from PINK or Rainbow. SMILE even has a totally different mix between the 2 versions.
About the lyric booklet: this was also in the original CD booklet.
About the release itself: Wow! Perfect sound! -
Excellent pressing BUT - the one thing I do NOT like is the lyric booklet. How the F*** are you supposed to read clear shiny print if you have no strong light source or poor eye-sight? 10/10 for the vinyl but 1/10 for the booklet!!

This sounds pretty good to my ears, but I am curious about the source used for the remaster/cutting. I know the band have said in the past that the original label had lost the files or any remnants of the album (which would only leave the 2002 commercial CD if true). Maybe TMR were able to throw their weight around and influence the old label to dig them up?
