Darn looking at them prices I kinda regret selling off most of my Autechre vinyl with a load of other records back in the mid 2000s haha most of them were promos! At the the same time, hope whoever got them plays them out. -

Such a dark and devious EP to ever crawl out of the anus of Warp. Every track lurks within dark corners in murky age-old condoms to drag you back to the bowels of the antlions ready to feast on your maggot-infested self.
Welp, that's what you get for playing Half-Life 2 and enjoying Ae at the same time. That's Warp for ya: perfection is fucked. >;) -

Anvil Vapre on vinyl are two magnificent EP with superb graphics in every point from the Designers Republic. Musically the year 1995 is a very rich period for Autechre with these Anvil Vapre EPs, the peel session, the Garbage EP as well as the sublime Tri Repetae album and without forgetting two other EPs of their side project Gescom. As it was already said in a previous comment (from psychicSnow ) the advantage of having the vinyl allows you to listen to some titles in 33 rpm instead of the announced speed of 45 rpm. And some tracks like "Second Bad Vilbel", "Second Scout" and especially "Second Scepe" sound much more dense and deep at this speed. It seems that these tracks were recorded rather at this speed so much the 45 rpm version that seems pressed and tighter in comparison (If we refer to the kick in particular). On the other hand, the song "Second Peng" is just perfect at its original speed of 45 rpm, the same as on the CD (This track is a heavy and an obsetional piece). In any case, I highly recommend you to listen to the track "Second Scepe" at this speed… trip guaranteed. Good listening to you! …Enjoy ! -

Don’t waste time waiting around for warp to reissue these. Just buy the originals, they’re f’ing amazing on vinyl!! -

This record is prime Autechre. I very much like both Anvil Vapre releases but this one is my favorite of the two. Golden era tunes, oh yes. -

Just noticed that my copy has the same labels on both sides (both side B). Has anybody else got the same? -

This is one where you have to buy the vinyl. Or you need to rip this in to audacity and bring it down to 33. It's able at 45 but in my view is really intended as a 33 record, despite the CD. All the liminal vocal samples sound perfectly placed and expressive (rather than barely recognizable helium-hardcore). All the bass is tight and punchy. One can hear every subtle tweak of each lead line. Exquisite. -
