Above & Beyond – Tri-State Remixes - Stealing Time / Tri-State

I'm probably not the only one to notice how commercial Above & Beyond have turned as of late. It's becoming slightly harder to find a release by them which is truly magnificent, but I think this little EP is just that.

There's quite a contrast between the two tracks on here and "World On Fire" isn't anywhere near as commercially influenced as that 'Club Mix' of "Good For Me". "World On Fire" blends dreamy progressive and uplifting Trance to make one of the most creative and outstanding Above & Beyond works today. The B-side remix was a nice surprise too. It's not everday that such a well-known House production act ends up on an Anjunabeats release! Spencer & Hill have gone down a different route for this special remix. And when comparing it with the initial Tri-State version, I'd actually say that this mix of "For All I Care" is better. The original version sounds very average to me. But Spencer & Hill blow the original's rocky, poppy piano-driven resonance right out of the water with a fresh, Trancey, but also very much a Housey vibe. It's so much more appealing and club-friendly than the original version.

Definately one of the best Above & Beyond vinyls available at the moment with it's contrasting creativity and, quite simply, massive tunes!
