Notes
Recorded and filmed on Journey's "Escape" tour in November of 1981 at the Houston Summit in Houston, Texas, "Live In Houston 1981" captures the band at the height of their commercial success.
The concert was first filmed and recorded as a concert for the then-fledgling MTV network
Hits such as "Lights", "Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin'", "Wheel in the Sky", and "Any Way You Want It" (written as "Anyway You Want It") are in evidence plus tracks from the band's then-current album "Escape" like its title cut, "Open Arms", "Who's Cryin' Now" and "Don't Stop Believin'".
Closing the CD version of the concert is the track, "Party's Over (Hopelessly in Love)", which is not on the DVD. Instead, the DVD has bonus interviews with the band from 1981 and 1982 plus an album ment for "Escape".

Got this brand new, still sealed for $18! Quality of press and mastering is really good...much better than what I heard on Spotify. Highly recommend this version. -

Well mastered concert. Vinyl is well pressed with little to no surface noise at all. Very happy with this one. -

Much better sounding than Captured. A good live document of this band. -

I tried buying this European version for the second time few weeks ago. Same issue on side C, different places, same songs.
Simply put, the two nicest songs are ruined by what I think is pressing issue. I am curios if other European buyers had the same issue. Of course, paper inner sleeve that are made of shit... -

I grabbed the Target exclusive. I'm really glad I did! It sounds absolutely fantastic! Journey was at the peak of their career and this document proves it! Highly recommended to Journey fans!

fantastic pressing. it is the live from 11/6/1981 (my favorite) which is on this disc. Because there is also a recording of 11/5/1981, they had played the day before too. The two lives should not be confused. -

Glad to have this one on vinyl since Journey was on top of their game back in 1981. Does anyone else notice the hi-hat being pretty much distorted especially on the opening track though? This is not the case on the digital version of the album. Would love to compare this pressing to those US/target ones which seem to be very high quality records as it seems.
