Mastermind was played at Mayday, april 1993. It was the song that was played right after P was switched off by the Mayday engineer in the middle of their track "9 mm is a classic". -

It's definitely a 1993 release.
First heard it in June 1993 on a radio show as a new release, 2 tracks of this record: ''Quite Safe'' and ''Mastermind'' along with some other new early gabber releases of that time, such as ''Neophyte – The Three Amiga's E.P.'' (3 tracks) , 2 tracks of ''Sigma 909 – Speeding Overload EP'' (Blow Your Mind & Rotterdamned), ''Mind Controller - Trance (Human Resource Remix)'', '' Biochip C. - Strange Invaders (Remix)'' and ''Out Of Order - Tears'' the b-side of ''Right Guard'', without knowing at that time that this style was called gabber, so it was a shock for me all those heavy industrial sounds and distorted kick drums. Previously i was listening to oldskool techno and hardcore around 1991-1992, so this was a new experience for me.
The ''Push The Button'' track heard it much later around late 93/early94, again from the same radio show, but at that time i learned that this style is called gabber.
So this must have been released around Spring 1993, i guess.
Fantastic release all 3 tracks, from the very dark & excellent bouncy hardcore track ''Quite Safe'', to the speedcore gabber '' Push The Button'', to the hardtrance masterpiece ''Mastermind'', the production of these tracks is way above anything else, very sophisticated, original that nothing can be compared in similarity, and heavilly programmed and executed. One of the finest releases of its time 10/10 for me. -

The level of pure straight underground hardcore of this record is just insane as you look at the year of release.
Easily blew most efforts coming out of Holland - Usa out of the water at that time.
Push the button had to be one of the hardest and fastest tracks of '92.
Beside that, this e.p. has it all, from rigid gabber/acidcore to tripping hardtrancesque sounds (Mastermind).
Enough said, groundbreaking and imo heavily underpriced.
