What cannot be must not be? For me this is the best STP album.

Very underrated "unplugged/acoustic" album from the boys featuring the new singer, & if you're an oldschool STP fan but still feeling sour over Scottt's death, do yourself a favour and give it a listen as they still write some great tunes....even though at the beginning I felt Gutt was trying to hard to imitate Weilands style I've slowly warmed up to his treatment on the songs and dudes got a decent voice 7/10

New STP album with acoustic guitar on every track. Within that limitation it's a good album, though not as good as Alice In Chains' acoustic EPs (Sap and Jar Of Flies). I'd recommend getting this one and the previous 2 self titled albums (did no one tell them you only get 1 self titled album or else the fans start coming up with alternate titles?) STP albums from after the 90s are still good albums, despite what some people will tell you.

Without knowing what direction the band wanted to go with this I bought it cuz it's STP you know. Turns out it's a total acoustic album. Although pretty good it's a sleeper album and I expected a little change of pace but it never came. Disappointed and probably will just sit on my shelf.

This is a different era of STP than I'm used to. But, I was pleasantly surprised to hear acoustic grunge. It's folky, raw, and tranquil. It's certainly a pleasant listen and interesting album. The most fascinating part is that they play on vintage instruments, giving a unique sound to the album, that turns the lackluster folk music into a unique album.

ALBUM ARTWORK: The poster is perfect, representing a vapid and dying try in a midwestern landscape. While STP isn't necessarily dull or dying, the songs on the album have a very relaxed and desolate feel to them. The yellowish, sepia tone ties back into the vintage instruments used on the album, giving a new rendition and homage of a folky, midwestern era.
