A mixer's dream.... early electro-beats and breaks in the style of Afrika Bambaataa, with dark vocals.

WoW...… Game changer. Next level 808 and has never been replicated.

Genuinely astounded to not see any comments on this, what with the watchers/owners ratios on every version out there.

Security (club mix) is the best mix, but the beats mix runs it close. Both are a DJ’s dream. Excellent crossover electro/freestyle / v-early breakbeat track. Atmospheric and dreamy yet dark. Vocals sexy & reassuring yet warning. In a dark misty club at 2am this would have taken me away. Astonishingly good.

One of the few tracks that you could hear on radio POWER96 and then go to an underground rave and see the Fever Crew battling to it. To me, in the same category as George Acosta's Fever Express.

There's quite a large crossover between Freestyle & Electro, and I daresay that Freestyle was born of Electro/Hip Hop, finding its roots in Planet Rock, a track more than heavily sampled in many Freestyle records, with early genre defining tracks by Shannon, Xena, C-Bank, Debbie Deb, even Aleem & Carol Lynn Townes etc.. establishing the future sound of what was to come.

The way I see it, if it fits and speaks to you, it's all good no matter when, where or what you heard it mixed with. I see Electro / Freestyle / Miami Bass / Club / Rave / Breaks all applying as tags for this track. Even if you find yourself disagreeing with that I feel comfortable that Classic is a tag we can all raise a glass to.

              Cheers!

just heard this song (the club mix) for the first time... holy SHEESH this is a massive banger. come to find out it's from the 80s... wow its so good with the choppy chops and the boomin drums. the orchestral stabs are a vintage treasure... an artifact. this is how stabs should be done.

Have this on a cd in my car along with around 200 others. Played The Club Mix on way home from work and still a classic in its own right. Unique beat, almost electro est. One of those you could dance too beats. Clever couple indeedy. Tune!!!, always will be.

Still listen to this at least once every two or three weeks. It's still a powershaker of badass proportions. 30 years old !!!! and still makes me shudder with pleasure. Flipping heck, it really is kind of depressing that all those years have ed since the days it rocked the airwaves and warehouse clubs but blimey does the production still hold up. This was pretty much played all over the place. Still totally enchanting.

                      Murderous tune, murderous.
